The Camp Wakpominee Scouts BSA summer program is designed to offer a unique resident camping experience to scouts of all ages and experience levels.
Our program areas offer over three dozen merit badges, including many that are required for Eagle. In addition to merit badges, our program is supplemented with numerous other activities throughout the day.
The Pioneer Program is designed for Scouts who are attending camp for the first time and is based around the Tenderfoot to First Class requirements. For older Scouts we offer C.O.P.E (Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience), Mountain biking, an ATV Program, and Adirondack Treks that offer challenging and exciting opportunities.

Loyalty Unit Program
Eligible units are able to lock in last year's camp fees for this year with the Loyalty Unit Program. To become eligible, a returning unit must place a $250 campsite deposit by November 1. A $100 deposit for each Scout attending camp is due by March 15, with the full balance to be paid by May 1. Camp fees for Webelos crossovers and new Scouts may be paid at the program rate until June 15.
Provisional Camping
We recognize Scouts may attend camp a different week than his or her unit, or without his or her unit. In these cases the Scout will be attending camp as a provisional camper.
Camp Wakpominee will place these Scouts with a unit attending camp and will be a member of that unit for the week. In cases when there is a large amount of provisional campers in one week, they will form their own unit led by a staff member, or a volunteer for the week.
Second Week Discount
If a Scout has paid for a week of camp at Camp Wakpominee, or Rotary Scout Reservation, and would like to attend a second week, he or she is eligible for discounted second week fees. Attendance at the National Jamboree, NYLT, High Adventure Camps, or non-Twin Rivers Council camps do not count for discount purposes.
Unit Leader Fees
Each unit receives one free leader for every eight (8) registered Scouts (minimum of two free leaders per unit). The fee for each additional leader is just $100.
Refund Policy
Months before camp opens, we begin extensive planning, purchasing of program supplies, and hiring of staff to meet the needs of our expected camp population. Due to these budgetary commitments, refunds will only be granted in specific circumstances. All refunds will be assessed a minimum fee of $100 for fixed costs already incurred. For complete details, please see our refund policy.
Camperships
The Twin Rivers Council supports a campership program to enable Scouts to participate in summer camp programs hosted by the council. The campership program was created to assist families with financial need in conjunction with individual, and unit, fundraising. Applications for support are available and must be submitted by April 1. If you are interested in contributing to the Campership Fund to help send a Scout to camp, please click here.
